I love Christmas. I love children's stories. I love books!
Combine the three and I'm hooked.
Add Dick Van Dyke and I think I'm in heaven!
"Mr. Finnegan's Giving Chest" is a wonderful Christmas story that teaches about the spirit of Christmas... the giving and serving others part that is such a wonderful tradition of the Christmas season.
The artwork in "Mr. Finnegan's Giving Chest" is remarkable. It was created with state-of-the-art 3D imagery. Dick Van Dyke's likeness is the title character - Mr. Finnegan. It is such a close likeness it almost looks like a photo.
Who would like a hardbound copy of this wonderful book? Leave a comment here by midnight, Tuesday, November 25 for a chance to win this for your library... or to use as a great Christmas gift for someone special in your life.
Did I mention the book includes a CD recording of Dick Van Dyke reading the story?? So fun!

My kids would love this book, Christmas books are our absolute favorites!
Me! Me! Me! If I don't win, I think I'll have to see about other ways of getting this book. It looks great! I like all your criteria for heaven, as well! Those are all some of my favorites, too!!!
that's such a cool idea for a book! It would make a great Chirstmas present! Christmas books are tmy favorite!
There's nothing like reading a great Christmas story, all snuggled up in blankets, with the kids. (Although, it's still a LITTLE warm to be thinking of snuggling and blankets). Let the cold season begin!!!!
Love holiday books! count me in!
I would love to read this story to my third graders!
I love Christmas too! Add books and I'm in heaven. I would love to win. Thanks.
I would love this book! I desperately need to start adding to our book collection.
my mom is in love with Dick Van Dyke... every year I think about buying her this book, but stop short because in the past it was just priced too high.
She has seen every episode of the old Dick Van Dyke show multiple times. Her favorite movie is Mary Poppins. I remember that she was watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in the hospital when Kim was born. She even watched Diag. Murder even though she hates murder mysteries, just because she loves him so much.
OH and... she refuses to watch Night at the Museum because in that movie he plays a "bad guy" and she does not want to see him in a role where he is portrayed badly.
Ooh I love Christmas books/stories! I've never heard of this. I love to read your blog and find out about new awesome things. Of course I would love this too!
