These is my Words by Nancy E. Turner

"These is my Words" by Nancy E. Turner is one of my all-time favorite books. It is set in Territorial Arizona and it is a story about a young woman's amazing courage and perseverance. It is seriously a story you'll never forget.

Click here for more information about "These is my Words" and for the three sequels, as well.

I blogged about this, right? I can't remember? If I did not - I definitely should have. This is my new all-time favorite as well. I read Sarah's Quilt (borrowed it from Sister Farley) and I bought the Star Garden... if you need to borrow that one, I own the first and the third. I didn't think that I would like a story about a Pioneer woman, but this book was so touching, and heart wrenching. Try not to think about it too much (as if...) while you are on the trek!!

I loved this book! I read it when I first moved to Arizona and I guess it kind of set the tone for my Arizona life! I also read Sarah's Quilt and thought it was just ok, and only made it through half of The Star Garden. Neither could compete with These is my Words.

Love, love this book! My sister recommended it to me 4 years ago and I bought a copy right then because I knew it would be good and it was!! I haven't read the sequel- my sister didn't like it very much. Maybe I'll have to give them a try this summer.
